18. Egypt - Fall of the Pharaohs
[AUDIO ONLY, VIDEO COMING SOON]
Far in the distance, three colossal shapes tower over the desert horizon…
In this episode, we travel to the Nile Valley, and tell the story of one of the most iconic cultures ever produced by humankind - the civilizations of ancient Egypt. I want to show how this series of related cultures grew up in the floodplains of their great river, and built some of the most enduring and recognizable structures in the world. And I want to tell the story of what happened to bring the age of the Pharaohs finally and cataclysmically to an end.

I will gladly press this every single day to proc the adds and let them roll.. But is the cinematic version on its way or? This is by far the best ever history channel I've ever encountered. I just love listening and watching at the same time.. I always chuckle when I see you release something, but then I wait my breath for the video version.. Whilst re-watching your old ones every night.

I dont know why but this made me super emotional. Maybe its the thoughts of just how far humanity has come, even in our losses as a collective, look what we've all accomplished. Even if all you have done is be a stay at home mom, an accountant, flipping burgers at a burger joint, a historian and so on we all have our precious place and we all contribute one way or another. Maybe that's what it is. Maybe its knowing how angry people are these days. Maybe it's the feeling that we take things for granted. Maybe that's what it is. Maybe from pride that through it all, humanity is still in existence, maybe its pride that humanity still has room to grow. Maybe its a mix of all of it. For some weird reason though this made me all emotional. A lot of these videos of yours have. We must not let our hearts grow cold with all that is going on now. We need to focus on the things that bring us closer together not bring more hate and heart ache and destruction. While we endure these new birthing pains, we can't lose sight of all we've done thus far, or that we are ALL human beings with the right to exsist, the right to thrive. I wish we all could look at each other with more love and respect, look at what our blood lines have accomplished, look at what our bloodlines have survived. We should be proud of that, we should at least be able to look at each other with respect even on the most basic level BECAUSE of how far we've come. BECAUSE of what our lines have survived. How blessed we all our that our lines have survived and continued throughout all of this time and all of these events. Maybe that's what it is, the hatred I see due to ignorance and lack of respect. The thinking that every day people MUST only depend on their overloards, the thinking that every day people can't survive and create without advanced tools, tech and education. That thinking, unfortunately STILL exists, I'd say it's probably worse today than it was back then. Maybe its a mix of all of that. Thank you for this beautiful documentary. ❤ For all of them. I really appreciate your work.

Thank you for educating me on things I had no idea about. I'm willing to admit you educated me and taught me something new. How awesome it would be if more people could put their pride down for a minute and be willing to learn something new or something that challenges their current understanding of things. Can you imagine what we could become? I keep saying it, globalization happened a long time ago, we became pretty much a one world government a long time ago. Yes, we also have our independent governments and wars are still waged. However, to deny there isn't a form of global governance is to deny things like the UN, interpol, the hauge and so on. It already happened. I'll never understand how people dont see it for what it is. I also appreciate that you didn't put a whole lot of ads in the video. That always helps 😊Shows that you are more about education than gains. Respect. ❤ As things in the times we are living in now seem to be getting harder and wars and rumors of wars are happening, I hope we can all realize and truly appreciate something very profound in this doc, the way things collapsed before should be everything we avoid NOW. Dont let your hearts grow cold. Dont let hatred and propaganda cloud your minds and hearts. If anything we ALL should be able to look at one another with a level of love and respect. All of us on the planet now ... Some how our bloodlines have survived ALL of this history. That deserves love and respect even if our governments say we are enemies.
